How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I had no scholarship but in my day tuition was free... Good old days!
What is the student lifestyle like in Lund?
Very young and dynamic. Students are everywhere and in everything!
Would you recommend the city and the University of Lund to other students?
Definitely.
What is the food like?
If you eat in Nations, fresh, cheap and tasty! Elsewhere pricier (except falafels, so cheap in comparison to all the rest! ) but usually tasty and healthy enough!
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lund?
Again, in Nations or student dorms cheaper but life in Sweden is expensive.
How much does it cost to live in Lund?
A lot. But you can save a lot too with student-centered services.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Depends and yes usually. You can get by not learning much Swedish, but it's fun to try.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lund from your city?
Not really any choice but planes from Canada... To Kastrup of course.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lund?
A Nation!
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lund?
Again, Nations!; )
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The Cathedral obviously, the older university buildings, and surroundings in Skane such as Ystad, Kivik, etc.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lund in the future?
Get involved, don't just coast :)
