Is it difficult to find accommodation in Leuven? Is there any advice you can give?

KULeuven is well organized to find accomodation for each student. But if you are there to do an internship for your thesis out of the Univeristy (maybe in a company), be prepared to search a lot for an accomodation, because landlords often don't rent their room without a Leuven student card (if you are a regular erasmus student don't worry, you'll have it!!)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Fries... fries everywhere!!! national dish is the potato: fried, steamed, cooked in the oven... how did Belgian people survive before discover of the america?
oh, and kebab and sandwiches are very good too!

Is the nightlife good in Leuven? Where is good to go?

Oude Markt. Just two words to have a whole year a night parties...
and Salcazzo Parties too is a good alternative to the discopub in the downtown
