Why did you choose to go to Leuven, Belgium?

It wasn't my choice, really.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is for two years, €1000 per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Leuven?

Very relaxed. KULeuven is awesome and the amount of students is incredible.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Leuven to other students?

Yeah, definetly.

What is the food like?

Not so good, really, but the beer is wonderful, so it compensates it.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Leuven?

Not at all. After half day I found a room within the University.

How much does it cost to live in Leuven?

I pay €300 rent and maybe €200 a month in food.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is not easy, but everybody is able to speak English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Leuven from your city?

By plane to Brussels, and then by train.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Leuven?

To the center. I don't remember the name of the street, but you can follow the people.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Leuven?

No really.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The University and Downtown, maybe.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Leuven in the future?

Learn how to ride a bike before comming here, it is the main way of transportation here.
