Why did you choose to go to Leon, Spain?
I wanted to go to Spain and to stay in a small city.
How long was your stay? How much financial support did you receive?
5 months and I only received financial support from my parents.
What is the student life like in Leon?
There is a good atmosphere. The downside is that we all live in apartments so it is harder to get to know everybody.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Leon to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like in Spain?
It isn't all that different to French food apart from there being some products that you can't find here.
How did you find your accommodation?
I found accommodation on flat share websites.
What are rent prices like? And prices in general?
Around 250 euros or just over £220 with rent and additional costs.
How is it learning the language? Did you have language classes organised by the university?
No, I didn't take any classes in Leon. It was a bit difficult to understand people at the beginning but I quickly got used to it.
What is the most cost effective way to get to Leon from your city?
By car and sharing the costs with other people.
Which areas would you recommend for partying in Leon?
The barrio Húmedo, that's where you'll find all the bars and clubs.
And for eating out in Leon? What are your favourite places?
The barrio romántico (tapas bars).
And which cultural visits do you recommend?
Asturias, Portugal, Zaragoza, Salamanca...
