What is it like to live in Leon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

León is a small city, but it is perfect! I recommend it because every Erasmus student who came here thinks of León as a good decision.

What is the student lifestyle like in Leon?

León is small and everything is near, so you can go walking everywhere you want. Also, about the party in León, there are many international students and mostly Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there are lots of people enjoying pubs and discos. I think the costs of living in León is not too much expensive also.

How much does it cost to live in Leon?

Around 700 euros, I think. You can find accommodation relatively cheep and the prices of food or parties is cheep also.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Leon? Is there any advice you can give?

There are many halls of residents for students and also a big offer of flats around the city. If you are thinking about share a flat, La Palomera is a good place, near the university and the city center.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food in León is delicious! You must taste the cecina and also you can enjoy the tapas of the Barrio Humedo.

What places would you recommend visiting in Leon?

The Cathedral is the most beautiful place, but there are museums and a lot of places with an incredible history. In León there are a lot of places to visit, and also in some regions near the city there are fantastic places.

Is it good to eat out in Leon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, you have many different options! You must go to the Barrio Humedo or the Barrio Romántico. Anywhere there is delicious!

Is the nightlife good in Leon? Where is good to go?

Yes! You must go party in the Barrio Húmedo. Tuesday is "the Erasmus Night" and there are a lot of people in pubs and discos.

What advice would you give future students heading to Leon?

In winter the weather is very cold! But in general, I am sure that León is an excellent option for everyone.
