Incredible alive city! When I arrived there I was surprised! Friendly people, beautiful city and places and so many things to do all the time! Really, if you can, don't miss it!
What is the student lifestyle like in Leon?
An incredible University, wonderful people to join and lots of activities to spend every moment!
How much does it cost to live in Leon?
It's in the average of most cities but think of that there is a higher than standard living style!
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Leon? Is there any advice you can give?
Absolutely not! You can find a lot of nice places even for you or even for share it with some others! And as it's not a big city, you'll be very close to all what you need!
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Food and drinks will make you feel as if you were in paradise! Tapa with every drink that you order! Nice meals, nice hanging out culture! I love it! Cocido Maragato, Cecina, Vino del Bierzo, Vino Prieto Picudo, Impresiones, Morcilla leonesa, Chorizo con queso de Valdeón, Migas...
What places would you recommend visiting in Leon?
The mountains, Vegacervera; it's just 30 mins from León... or the beach, Gijón, one hour and a half by train! Also Astorga or Montes de León, very traditional towns which will help you to feel as never before!
Is it good to eat out in Leon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Tabernas everywhere! One of the most incredible things! Everybody goes out for a Corto with some tapas; Places like LaTrastienda, TheTavern, LaGitana, or, the very best, CamaroteMadrid, LaTiziona, TinTin... ok! neverending story! Once you go out you can't stop!
Is the nightlife good in Leon? Where is good to go?
Party in Plaza Mayor and El Humedo... ok, you must go there because I've no words!
What advice would you give future students heading to Leon?
Try to enjoy it as much as possible! I've been living there in Calle Ancha, just next to the Cathedral, for 2 years and it has been the very best that if done!
Trust me, if you can, go to León!
