No its really easy to find accommodations in Istanbul there are facebook pages where you can find rooms easily

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Foods are like my own country's foods and after rent food is the most expensive thing in Istanbul
My favorite ones are ISkender Kebeb ,Adana kebab

What places would you recommend visiting in Estambul?

Blue Mosque , Islands, Istiklal caddesi
