What is it like to live in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I am studying here. It is awesome, living here as student. I recommend this city to live when you are young and if you want to travel . But so crowded and noisy for living all your life here :)

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

Its very good if you have good friends :) There are lots of options to do.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

If you love to travel and hangout, it cost more than 1500 Turkish Liras. But without spending so much, cooking at home, you can live with 1200 Turkish liras in good places of Istanbul.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

It depends you, how places do you want to stay? I think its not so difficult for students, you can share flats, you can find shared apartments. There are some pages about accomondation on facebook ;)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Foods are good. Belive me! :) let yourself to discover .

What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?

Its so much :) if you like historical places, Europe side of istanbul is full of history. Also Kadıköy, Beşiktaş, Üsküdar are great places.

Is it good to eat out in Istanbul? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

You can discover some good places around where you live. By the way, better you eat at famous or crowded restaurants, if you can't see so many people in the restaurant, do not choose that place :)

Is the nightlife good in Istanbul? Where is good to go?

Istanbul is one of the best cities for nightlife in Turkey. Taksim and Kadıköy is good to go! Don't wait :)

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?

You can find,see and live so many beautiful things in this city. epsecially students in universities are very friendly, they will be happy to meet you! Dont worry.
