you should find a famly to live with it will be much easier to understand the customs

you will enjoy all the food in istanbul. Kebabs, Doner Kebab (CHAVIRMA), and most foods you eat as greek food originated inTurkey.
What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?
For the historical places start from sultanahmet and then almost all parts of istanbul is historical
keep in mind istanbul is know to be the oldest city in the history with up to 7,000 years of history

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?
dont try to drive in istanbul you can go everywhere by metro, metrobus, bus and boats. Get a monthly bus ticket and use it everywhere. if you will use taxi make sure they open the taximeter each time.
