It's not difficult, you can find various websites to look for a suitable accommodation.

The Turkish food is not really interesting, but you can have Arabic dishes in Syrian restaurants for a better taste and better prices.
What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?
It's full of interesting places to visit, it depends on what people are really interested about, for me it is Istiklal Cad. and Eminunu.
Is it good to eat out in Istanbul? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yea the food is clean in general, and the most delicious Turkish food you can have in Al Madina Restaurant, highly recommended yet very expensive.
Is the nightlife good in Istanbul? Where is good to go?
Night life is good yet a little dangerous for lonely girls, some clubs are cool in Istiklal Cad.
What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?
For those who likes a city with wide variety of nationalities, you could have a very interesting experiences.
