What is it like to live in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Istanbul is most beatiful city of the world. Architecture and landscpe is perfect. It smells like history.If you come here once, you won't want to leave. You'll fall in love. Over than 15-16 million people live here and lots of different culture exist. If you like living in crowded but entartained city, Istanbul is good for you.

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

Over 1 million student live here. So the student activities are numerous. You can meet nice students who speak english. I love being student in Istanbul and after my graduation i'd like to stay here.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

It depends on your luxury preferences. In normaly it is about 500 euros is enough but you should share flat with anyone. Istanbul is as a paradise for fruits and vegatables. You can reach them easily and they are cheaper than other european country. As a result, it is not expensive living here.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

There are many options for accommodation in Istanbul. You can loan an apartment flat easily. It is about 400-450 euros for 90-100 sqm and two rooms flat. You can share your flat and it'll be more cheaper. You can live in dormitory if you want to but i recommend to loan a flat because for that way, you can get used to live here much easily.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are many cuisine in Istanbul. You can taste kabob , turkish meat doner, mediterrean cuisine or Turkish home food. Options are numerous. My favorite dishes is bean and rice.

What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?

There are lots of mosque, church and sinagog in Istanbul. I recommend to visit museums because they are wonderful. You can go beatiful places which like paradise to seen. Especially when the sun is setting, the seen is like wallpaper.

Is it good to eat out in Istanbul? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

You can easily find restaurant or cafe when you go out. Some place are surrounded by restaurant. You should try them by random and you'll get surprise what you get. Some place make foods very delicious and you can find them accidently.

Is the nightlife good in Istanbul? Where is good to go?

A few place have a good nightlife in Istanbul. For example Taksim is the best place to drink and get entertain. The drinks are cheap. One glass of beer is about 2-3 euros if it needs to give example

What advice would you give future students headed to Istanbul?

Do not afraid of coming here. You wouldn't be regretful. People are friendly and helpful so meet them. You 'll realize you are just like at your home town. Try what you wonder about.
