Experience in Istanbul Turkey by Erencan

How's living in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? How is the city?

The city has many historical places to visit and also many places to have fun too it depends on which district you're in. The city is very crowded so if you can't stand noise and traffic I don't think you can be comfortable.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

It probably won't be so expensive for students who use Euro (€) and Dollar ($). But if your money is similar to TL(₺) it might be expensive for you. It depends on which district you'll be living in. European side is much more expensive than Asian side.

Is it hard to find accommodation in Istanbul? Any advices you can give?

It's a crowded city therefore finding a place is hard and rents are expensive.

How about Turkish cuisine? Do you have any favourite dishes?

You can eat a doner - the favourite fast-food of Turkish people, pretty much everywhere.

Which places would you reccommend to visit in Istanbul?

Eminonu, Taksim, Kadikoy, Halic, etc. Those districts are near Bosphorus and are the main city centers of Istanbul.

Is nightlife good? Any places to reccommend?

Nights are very lively around Nisantasi Beyoglu and Kadikoy areas.

Ps: Photos below were taken by me. Hope it'll be useful for you :))
