In spite of complaining about the crowd and chaos, people can not give up loving Istanbul. Because this city has a soul and you can feel it every moment.

You can attend countless activities and explore the city. But exploring won't come to an end.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

As a student, you need nearly 1000 TL (450 €) per month just to live, eat and travel. Housing prices will change according to your choice.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

No it is not difficult. Many people searching for a housemate or roommate you can easily find a place to live. I advice students to check their temporary school's forums.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Istanbul is a metropolitan so you can find any kind of food you want. It won't be a problem.

What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?

There are tens, hundreds of historical places you can visit any of them and all are amazing. In addition you can try nightlife in many places like Beyoglu, Bebek, Ortakoy etc.

Is it good to eat out in Istanbul? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

As i mentioned above there are hundreds of good restaurants which make good meal. If it is necessary to give examples, Kırıntı, Midpoint, Kitchenette are guaranteed restaurants to eat. (by me).

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?

Do not pay too much for housing, you will need it to drink.
