For a student, Istanbul is very big. You can find anywhere to go for a walk or visit. Transportation is improved.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

To live in Istanbul, at least 1000 Turkish Liras is sufficient except for rent and costs.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

No. But you should care where you stay. Airbnb is a good choice for accomodation. It is both cheap and reliable.
