What is it like to live in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Istanbul is very crowded but so amazing city and a little bit expensive. If you like people and lively life you can choose Istanbul to live.

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

For a student, Istanbul is very big. You can find anywhere to go for a walk or visit. Transportation is improved.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

To live in Istanbul, at least 1000 Turkish Liras is sufficient except for rent and costs.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

No. But you should care where you stay. Airbnb is a good choice for accomodation. It is both cheap and reliable.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Turkish dishes are so various. Especially kebabs and barbecue foods are so popular. Meatballs of Selim Usta in Sultanahmet, Sanliurfa Ocakbasi in Aksaray, Osman Usta Cigkofte in Esenler, Kumpir in Ortakoy, Fish sandwiches in Eminonu

What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?

Ortakoy, Besiktas, Emirgan grove in Sariyer, Uskudar coast, Buyukada, Heybeliada, Ataturk Arboretum, Bakirkoy Botanik Garden, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Camlica Hill, Pierre Loti

Is the nightlife good in Istanbul? Where is good to go?

The bars in Taksim and Kadikoy are good.

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?

Enjoy your life and don't complain about difficulties, just like your life and experience
