What is it like to live in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's like living a dream... Old but fashioned buildings, it's a life of total relax and chill. I highly recommend to live in this magnificent city because it contains a lot of historical places which show it has gone through lots of different cultures.

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

I guess it's quiet busy with having fun in studying new things while getting excited about seeing a lot of new and cool things around and to learn very well traditions.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

Students and first year students shouldn't spend too much money because they might have their own grant and a lot of things are simple for you to get along with the society. To a regular person, it costs not too much and they won't feel as they would lost their money in vain... They might be like " Yeah, I spent this amount of money and i'm sure that it worth it".

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it is not so difficult because you can find whatever you are looking for online but it would be much better find it in person, in the real life...In this way you can make sure that what you have it's true.

What is the food like? What are your favorite dishes?

Oh, Turkish food has a really tasty food quality, whatever on the road or in some restaurants and they are really kind to the tourists and local people. You should try their food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?

I recommend to visit the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Galata tower, Taksim square and also to visit Izmir and Antalya which are the most beautiful places in Turkey.

Is it good to eat out in Istanbul? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Gulhane Sark Sofrasi is a really good place in which they have the best service I've seen in Istanbul and also Shadow is a cosy restaurant which serves tasty dinner.

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?

Enjoy your life, live it in the way you want, dream big and have high hopes... Don't be ashamed of what you are doing or what you did because we only live once and for all... Study hard, have planes and fulfill them in your future. Do your best!
