What is it like to live in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I think Istanbul is the most interesting city on the earth. One part of this city is placed Europe and the other part is on the Asia part. Istanbul has a very old history. It has very old architecture and lots of stories about these buildings. The best thing about this city is landscape. It has many beautiful locations to watch this mystical city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

Sometimes it could be easy. However, It is the most expensive city in Turkey. But, everyone can find a place for their budget in this city. The solution is people has to know where they have to look.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

It depends on location. For ex: In downtown, the rents are like 1000-3000 Turkish Lyra which is 350 Euro- 1000 Euro. Transportation is cheap but, don`t forget! It is a very big city so, sometimes I have to take more than 3 transportation vehicle.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

No, I think it isn`t hard to find. Students can find many websites for these things. My advice is the best way for living in as a foreign is sharing a room with any student!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

This part is my fav to answer! Probably students would be googled it how our food is! Guyz when you taste our food you are not going to believe it! I think our foods are in the top 15 list!

What places would you recommend visiting in Istanbul?

For me, I like to go art galleries and museums and usually, these things are placed in Europe part but Asia part has a different atmosphere. I am living in this part and it is calm. In addition, in Asia part they can go Caddebostan for hanging out with friends but Entertainments are in Europe part(Istiklal Street)

Is it good to eat out in Istanbul? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

For sure. You can find every food for every budget. I was born in the best kebab makers town in Turkey so for me everyone has to try Adana Kebab. It is a little bit spicy but thrust me you will love it!

Is the nightlife good in Istanbul? Where is good to go?

It is really good. If you want to listen music like oldies and goldies you can go Kadikoy(Asia) or Istiklal Street(Europe) but you can`t find a nightclub in Asia part. All is placed in Europe part.

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?

Just chill guyz. You will be OK and enjoy your Istanbul trip because you will love it and you will make amazing relationships in Turkey. It is a very friendly country.
