Being a student in İstanbul brings you many options.
You can "mostly" find whatever you want to do in the city, but life could be a little bit expensive if you don't have the control :)

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

It depends how much you are ready to pay for your stay in İstanbul. But average could be 150 Eur/Month. for your own expenses except accommodation.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Istanbul? Is there any advice you can give?

Accommodation is not a big problem but better to be more "selective".
Highly advise to "see" your place before your decision.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food : All the world cuisine is in İstanbul.

Taksim - Kadıköy - Nişantaşı - Bosphorus etc.

Is the nightlife good in Istanbul? Where is good to go?

Very Good.
Taksim - Kadıköy are the main points.

What advice would you give future students heading to Istanbul?

You are coming to a multi-national & multi-cultural country where there is no 100% certain things. :) So be ready to experience many things GOOD or BAD.

During your stay, you will most probably feel that you are on a Roller Coaster but at the end you will have a good memory and experience of your life which is good for your future.
