What is it like to live in Istanbul? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Istanbul is a beautiful city and I feel very lucky to be able to live here. The endless comforts and beautiful aura make it a very fascinating place. However, the language barrier is a huge problem and you will get ripped off! What I love about Istanbul is that it has diversity. There are several different landscapes in Istanbul; from hills, to the sea. One never gets bored of looking around. Another delightful thing about Istanbul is the diversity of culture. One always manages to clubs and bars, but never gets enough of the castles and forts. Posh people to paupers, all are here is the wonderful Istanbul. My verdict is YES. If you get the chance to visit Istanbul, do not miss it; you'll have a blast, whether you're alone, with friends OR family!

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

Unfortunately i cannot give much information about the student lifestyle because i go to an international school, and the system is completely different from turkish schools. However, the treatment given to all students, regardless of their nationality is remarkable. All students get student transport cards and very good discounts too!

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

Istanbul is VERY expensive to live in. And strangely, the people do not get payed enough.
