Why did you choose to go to Istanbul, Turkey?
I'm Turkish and I was planning to move in Istanbul definitively, which I did.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I used to receive 900€ per month which was more than enough.
What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?
There are lots of parties and trips organized for students.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Istanbul to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like?
Many choices, traditional Turkish food is great but you can also find everything else you want. Prices depend on the place but in general they are quite cheap.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Istanbul?
No, I found it online and I was lucky enough to have a great flat, in a great location with great flatmates.
How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?
Flat + bills + transports + food and entertainment = 1500-2000TL.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Istanbul from your city?
By plane from Luxembourg.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Istanbul?
Eski Beyrut in Istiklal.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Istanbul?
In Istiklal: Parole, Yemek Kulubü, Nişantaşı, Cookshop. Or you can also go to restaurant chains that you can find almost everywhere: Kırıntı, Karafırın, Midpoint...
