Why did you choose to go to Istanbul, Turkey?

Well, There was more than one reason to select Istanbul for studies
1-The education was affordable
2-There's a lot of diversity here in Istanbul because a lot of internationals are living here.
3-Different opportunities like Erasmus+ mobility and traineeships and so more.
4-Culture and history

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I don't have any scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

It's different, mostly depends on the mentality of a person that how he is going to spend his time. But according to me, 1500 TL per month are enough for a student to live in Istanbul

Would you recommend the city and the University of Istanbul to other students?

I will recommend Istanbul to live but in Turkey, students are not allowed to work part-time or full-time.
and I'm a student of Istanbul Sehir University. It's a private university and it's also a good university with rich faculty and library.

What is the food like?

The food is good, especially desserts.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Istanbul?

No, I contacted a person through Facebook. There are pages on Facebook for accommodation in Istanbul.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

If a student is renting a room in a shared apartment then 1500TL per month is enough for a student to live including the meal.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are courses available inside and outside of the university, and also students can get the free course from Bab-i-Alem, a non-profit organization working in Istanbul in Fatih

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Istanbul from your city?

Well, People who are coming here in Istanbul should choose Sabiha Gokcen Airport Istanbul, because it will cost them low. and choosing Ataturk airport will increase the fare cost.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Istanbul?

Taksim, Uskudar Meydan, Moda (Kadikoy), Galata Saray, Sirkeci and also there are a lot of different areas to go for the hangout.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Prince's Islands, AyaSofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Baazar, Tomb of Abu Ayub Ansari and other museums of the city.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Istanbul in the future?

At the airport don't take Taxi, Go for Uber or Public transport like; Metro Bus, Metro Trains, and Tram.
