Why did you choose to go to Istanbul, Turkey?

I got this internship opportunity from a company there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

3 month internship. I got 1380e erasmus grant.

What is the student lifestyle like in Istanbul?

I didn't actually stay with students because I was doing internship there.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Istanbul to other students?

The city is great, a lot to explore. People are nice and friendly and food is good. The problem is, not so many people speak English though.

What is the food like?

There are various kind of food. I'm sure you will find something you like.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Istanbul?

I found it on the Internet. Didn't cost anything.

How much does it cost to live in Istanbul?

My rent is about 300e per month. Plus food and transportation, total cost is about 600e.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Turkish language is difficult for me.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Istanbul from your city?

I travel by airplane from Finland.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Istanbul?

I went to the seashore with friends once. Good view, and nice ice-cream.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Istanbul?

I don't actually remember the restaurants. I think you can ask the local people.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are a lot of places in Europe side.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Istanbul in the future?

Not that I can think of.
