It is a very ethnically and culturally rich city.

It is absolutely beautiful. A lot of people like me have found the perfect balance between social life and studying.

No it hasn't.

About 200 euros on top of my rent.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, a lot of people and the University courses helped me.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Istanbul from your city?

Via airplanes.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Istanbul?

Taksim.
