Diamond Head

On the paradisical island of Hawaii, one of the most well known tourist attractions to visit is in the surrounding areas of Waikiki beach; it's a natural and fresh outside area known as Diamond Head. It's a park where nature shows itself in its maximum splendour, as well as different views of the city which you can see all through the route, regardless of which side you look at to appreciate such beauty.

Ways of getting to Diamond Head

Getting there is practical, easy and not complicated, regardless of how you get to the park. There are multiple options to consider when you're going to the park:

However, from the entrance of the park and continuing on inside, you're only allowed to move around by foot as to avoid any kind of accident and to guarantee the safety of pedestrians whilst they're walking around.

What sort of things to make sure you take with you

• When you get to the park, or before if you like, it's important to bring some kinf of liquid to keep yourself hydrated because the climb to the top is a little strenuous thanks to there being very steep areas. It's recommended to go up slowly and to take breaks during the climb in order to relax and admire the natural beauty, completely calm, tranquil and will.
• Another thing to make sure you do is wear comfy and light clothing like exercise clothes, tennis shoes or practical and comfortable shoes for long walks and make sure your feet are going to be free of exhaustion in order to avoid peeling, blisters or other sorts of side-affects from long walks.
• There are constantly a lot of tourists going up and down Diamond Head with smiles on their faces, impressed by the pleasant atmosphere in the park. When visitors are almost at the top, they have the opportunity to relax on one of the strategically places lookout points, hydrate themselves and take some of the best panoramic photos of the city, as well as the sea which is just in front of the lookout point, and leaves visitors dazzled whilst easing the relaxation amongst them.

Furthermore, for those who like a little danger, there is an area which is a bit more open and free where there is an imprint of one of the most meaningful words on the island: "Aloha", which has a deep meaning each time it's said by the locals, a feeling which is transmitted to the tourists. Access to this other lookout point is a little more risky, although it's worth the adventure.

Once ready to continue the walk, the next stop is found after going through a tunnel and going up some steep steps which take you to the peak of the mountain and one of the most epic lookout points on the island awaits each visitor, pleasing you for a moment which you will always remember and maintaining the feeling of happiness, freedom and gratefulness for a long time.

Going back down, a refreshing slushie is one of the best things to enjoy and cool down in the company of family and/or friends. Other food and drink options are available in the food area, such as fast food, fizzy drinks, water, ice cream, desserts, fruit, candy, iced-tea, natural juices amongst other traditional Hawaiian foods.
