Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa

This place is in Koloa, Kauai and not Honolulu, but there was not Kauai on the list of places.

Four months after my trip to Mexico I went to Hawaii, more specifically to Kauai. I flew from Denver to Honolulu, where I stayed overnight and then I flew to Kauai. Here I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai, a beautiful hotel with lots of palm trees. Right where this place is, the beach is not that great, they suggest not to swim there because there are rocks, even though I saw people jumping off cliffs and also kids using a bodyboard. Even though the beach was basically off limits, there were a lot of swimming pools people could spend time in and in one of them you could even use a kayak. Another pool was nice because they put sand in it and it just felt like you were in the ocean rather than a swimming pool. The staff is super nice, one of the guys at the front desk gave my American brother a Hawaiian necklace which was very neat.

One of the places where I had lunch had a terrace in front of in which there were swans swimming. It was very nice to face them moving around and the palm trees and ocean in the background. It was a wonderful trip.
