My favorite event in all of spain!!! Temps de flors (time of the flowers) is in Girona, Spain just north of Barcelona. Girona is a smaller city just a little bit smaller than Barcelona and more peaceful. It is a beautiful city where you can find a whole medieval section of the city. it is gorgeous and so much history in this city you would never even know! Some of this architecture is from the Roman period and goes through the changes. There was also a large presence of Jewish here where they were sectioned to one part of the city. When entering the medieval section there are cute shops hidden within the walls.  There are even Arab baths in this section from when the Arabs lived there. When Temps De Flores comes around the whole town is filled with flowers. They design everything with flowers to make it a special event. It is so beautiful this time of year. Everything is created with a beautiful display of millions of flowers all over the city. The Arab baths outside and inside are decorated as well as the steps to the cathedral, the walls of the city and many other pop up displays around the city. The good thing is entry into these places are free during this time because when you come on a normal day you have to pay to get into the Arab baths for instance. I recommend you see this if you happen to be in town or live in Spain and have never been! Girona is a beautiful city with a lot to offer.
