I was at the begining in a university dorm and then was easy to find a flat.

How much does it cost to live in Gdansk?

Uff..I dont know but about 400€ per month but depend of your lifestyle;)

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes Politechnika Gdansk offers english, polish courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Gdansk from your city?

By plane to Barcelona and then other plane to Gdanin Gdansksk

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Gdansk?

In Gdansk, parlament, outsider and vclub and in Sopot, sfinks, ego, czekolada.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Oldtown is very beautiful
