Why did you choose to go to Gdansk, Poland?

Because I wanted to know another culture, the Easter Europe is quite different from Italy, and so beautiful! If I could go back I would choose again Poland.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I've been in Gdansk for 9 mounths and I receved 480€ per mounth.

What is the student lifestyle like in Gdansk?

There are a lot of party and a lot of others student with whom is possible to socialize. And I'm meaning people all over the world!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Gdansk to other students?

For sure, I think it's the best!

What is the food like?

Food is very different from Italian food, and in my opinion it isn't very good. But at the same time I like to taste differend dishes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Gdansk?

No, it was very easy.

How much does it cost to live in Gdansk?

It depends from the lifestyle, but it's very cheap. I spent almost 500€ per mounth.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is very difficult, but, of course, in the university is possible to find a lot of courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Gdansk from your city?

The easiest and most economical way is by plane. There are a lot of air company that offer low cost flight.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Gdansk?

In Gdansk Parlament is the best, there is also firenight... But I prefer Sopot, it's amazing!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Gdansk?

To eat polish food I like 'Pierogarnia' .. But I love also fast food.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The main street has a lot of historical places to visit.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Gdansk in the future?

Have a lot of party, and enjoy your Erasmus. You'll remember this period for all your life!
