Fabulous visit to Ville Franche sur mer

As we were visiting Nice and not so far from this amazing city located in the south of France, we could discover another amazing city called Ville franche sur mer that is even more splendid in terms of beautiful landscapes and harmony with nature. In fact, we went in spring time so the weather was so warm inciting us to discover more about this magical city, also we were surprised to see it was not crowded at all so  we could really visit all the attractions with much ease and in very comfortable way.

This city offers really so much beautiful landscapes not comparable to any other cities i have visited before during my last trips, having its unique charm, its amazing port and offering so much suprises to poeple with  population with generous very warm that i did not even think i was out of my country for a while. The beach was the first and most amazing characteristic to discover as the city Villefranche-sur-Mer offers a water so clear that it ressembles crystal and it offers a mafgical landscapes where all poeple older and younger ones enjoy this amazing city with warm heart and beautiful smiles. It can be considered for me as hidden place since i never heard of it before and the majority of poeple going there thik its very cheap comparing to other bigger cities such as Paris or Valencia.

We discover in the other hand that the city is much conserved, its is not so far from Nice which make its location strategic for tourism especially but also we could discover many other attractions such as an amazing port with beautiful yachts and giving a special atmosphere of summer time, the heart of very rich culture with its citadel very famous for its architecture also we could be impressed by the old town from inside that make poeple be more curious to know about its historic aspects as well as its authentic characteristics.

1- Visit to the port 

We could visit the city walking mainly as it was a warm spring day so we had the chance to discover the most memorable attraction of this small town which is the port. We discovered that the port offers many cruises  for tourists  and offers an amazing view of the sea side with many luxiurious residences and yachts that prove the very rich poeple coming from all over the world to explore this part of the world we could really discover that Villefranche-sur-Mer is may be unknown to many regular poeple it is therefore the most favourite place for famous poeple and it is currently more crowded and almost the most requested place of all  Côte d'Azur.

Firstly, We went to discover the port from a higher point, so we had to climb a small hill to admire more the panoramic view and the amazing landscape from far away and do amazing pictures in that warm day, we could admire the most beautiful view ever, palm trees everywhere, clear sea, blue sky and very beautiful and luxurious boats and residences. The city is also full of many characteristic gardens, museums, so much wonderful to discover, auditoriums and many collections of the most unique style of sculptures, The city ispires a lot of artists especially by its museum of art and history We could also discover the very narrow streets characterised by the amazing colorful facades of old houses eventually mixed in an amazing harmony with the architecture and the modernity and the natural landscape this city offered to poeple, The city is also full of stairways and many streets with the most funny names such as the street of hair for example that made us lough a lot about its significance.  Villefranche-sur-Mer is also considered the home of artists and painters, and this is totally understandable when seeing the long coast characterised by white sands that could inspire them to produce masterpieces of art and collections. Poeple visiting the city both with trains or with other mean of transport such as boats could really enjoy the most wonderful panorama. With Its conserved citadel, and its sweet port, the city showed it was really radiant and showed it could win the heart of many people to visit it more than once. The city had the most strategic location of the port that used maily for fishing as it was the main source of nutrition of the city inhabitants previously. It now became the stop for so much cruises offered to do in the sea and the most wonderful tourist port of the south of france. The strong point of the city that we can not also find in another city ids the mild climate that suits everyone to go out and enjoy the city. A landscape decorated with beautiful and colourful flowers with an exceptional green areas, palm trees and strong vegetation characterise this city it is therefore recommanded to have either lunch or dinner in one of the amazing restaurants  located just in front of the port and to taste the local gastronomy while admiring this amazing view.

2-The chapel

During our walk through the city fabulous streets, we could discover one of the most emblematic and architectural masterpiece in terms of architecture,  In reality it is an amazing chapel. We discovered the chapel of the city characterised of the purest style and most modern and wonderful architecture as we were walking we discovered this hidden masterpiece of art we could also by this way see the port from far away. we could walk around and discover after passing by the main avenue that must be took by feet and admiring in the same time the facades covered with hidden things and painted with bright colors and by this way visit the church that temlls the history of the town of this amazing civilization. 

The most admirable thing about the city is the existence of multiple highest points where poeple can clim to see the wonderful port and the green mountain that decorate this amazing view , this port allows not only an wonderful view but also allows poeple to detect the place of the different attractions to discover such as the museum of art for example with its famous collections that we were happily admiring in a deep thinking atmosphere, we discover the narrow and hidden streets, we could have a coffee while talking to some friendly locals that helped us with our maps, but i had the strong point of talking in french language as a second language so it was easy to repair in side the city without a guide, but it is also possible to ask poeple especally the one holding cafes and restaurants because they are very smiling and helpful and can advise poeple for the best way to take to visit the city.

As i worked insode the narrow streets i discover a place that resembles a lot Porto with its colourful walls and cozy atmosphere, the decoration of such a landscape with the beautiful presentation of the streets left me speechless and we were really enjoying our walk inside the city with much happiness and enthousiasm.

The architecture also is the heart of the city, is a characteristic that gives to it its special characteristics and would incite poeple to come again.

3-The old Town

Walking inside the city by feet is the only and best way to discover its hidden tresors, as the old town offers amazing streets to admire and have as special characteristics especially the main port and the beautiful citadel, we must also know that the old town offers many suprises, in fact, poeple can avoid a view from the citadel and will avoid by this way climbing to the top of the monument but rather  go all down to reach the charming little port that can be discovered as well as from the other direction too. The Côte d'Azur is characterised by the most wonderful aspects that can be admired all the way from the Nice station in all options either by car by bus or by the train by enjoying the coastal part and by tasting the new varieties of food mainly and sitting in the most restaurants, cafes, bars, disco clubs, that can be discovered near the beach side. We could really remark it was not crowded at all , we could therefore distinguish a calm atmosphere and colourful houses with celebrities living the real french life near the  Rivier that was so unique by its amazing landscape, that offers a lot of charm and romance. walking in the city streets we discovered one of the most famous restaurants where we decided to have lunch, the prices were adequate and we could even enjoy an incecream after the main dish. Poeple may be could think it is a neglected and not so famous city, so they would prefer not to spend their money in it but it really a wrong thinking because the city is more than unique with the wonderful characteristics of the old town and the narrow streets where we could be lost for some minutes from real life and where most of the poeple get surpried by its amazing style and would think it is cute, love it a lot and do what ever it takes to come back again to this fabulous city.

4- The beach

The beaches of Villefranche sur Mer are very popular, very beautiful and the most attractive to try in family or with friends the most important is to go inside the warm water and swim fr the first time in the french beach. The main beach of the city extends over almost the entire coast. A small attraction also impressed me while discovering the city by walking, that was then revealed to be a train that runs between two very close cities to Ville franche sur Mer which are Monaco and Nice stops just above, convenient for families and can be used to do an amazing road trip with a whole circuit of Nice, cannes and monaco, an amazing road trip that can be made with only a backpack and a heart full of enthousiasm and happiness. Near the royal port, it is equally pleasant, with its restaurants and tranquility, The city offered with its unique village houses near the sea side and its small private port wa lot of generosity and  charm. All the atmosphere was festive and so much amazing as it was pleasant with its restaurants and tranquility. We met new friends that were our partners to swim and to tell jokes while loughing and fighting the waves, we could really create so much strong links with strangers for a very limited time as our trip was meant basically for discovering, an amazing circuit could really be done from the city of Nice to Cannes firstly then to the capital of Monaco Montecarlo by using mainly the train. near the city was located also a huge forest for sport lovers to do some activities there, to breathe finally pure air a bit far from the biggest cities and many activities like diving or sailing could be done, also rowing as the city offers many opportunities for sea lovers to enjoy their favourite activities.
