Erasmus Experience in Faro, Portugal by Lina
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
3 months and 510 Euros per month.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Faro to other students?
City is very lively in summer and there are a lot of things going on by night. Campus de Gambelas is very modern and highly equipped but a bit far from the city centre.
What is the food like?
Many traditional restaurants and other small bars which you have to look harder in order to find the best ones. Restaurants in the centre are sometimes too expensive.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Faro?
You can get very good prices (under 200€ for everything including expenses) except in summer when prices tend to get higher, up to 300€.
How much does it cost to live in Faro?
With 510€ a month (300€ apartment) it was just fine. Coming from a country where Euro isn't the main currency it was a bit expensive but for other nationalities (with Euro currency) I could say it is rather cheap.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Faro from your city?
Airplane.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Faro?
Se7en Pedros.

Muchas gracias!
