What is it like to live in Faro? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Faro is not a really big city, so its a nice place to live, hang out and do activities. Compared to other small cities in Algarve, Faro has a good variety of things to do, places to go and people to talk to.
What is the student lifestyle like in Faro?
The student lifestyle is a great experience to gain, the university, the parties, the people, everything.
How much does it cost to live in Faro?
Faro doesnt cost very much compared to other cities such as Madrid or even Lisbon. Is a city that doesnt cost much to live in.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Faro? Is there any advice you can give?
Its difficult if you have a small budget, but ther are appartments just for students.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I love the food here, we have fresh sea food, good and biological meat, there are lots of great markets to go, with fresh fish, sea food and vegetables/fruit.
What places would you recommend visiting in Faro?
You can go to the beach of faro, you can visit the Sé (church that uni students use in their events like "Benção das fitas"), the castle of faro, and many more.
Is it good to eat out in Faro? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Its great to eat out in faro, but dont go every day, because it gets expensive after a while. I really like Caco in downtwon, hamburgueria da baixa, and so on.
Is the nightlife good in Faro? Where is good to go?
Yes the nightlife in faro is very good, you have lots of places to go, such as Twice, First, Call In, Faronos and you have places that sell food until very late like 4am.
What advice would you give future students heading to Faro?
Come to Faro, enjoy your stay, have fun, explore the city, do you, make friends, everybody here is nice.
