What is it like to live in Cork? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Cork is a fantastic place to come to if you’re someone who enjoys the bustling urban life but wants to avoid some of the problems often found in big cities. Nearly everywhere is easy to walk to, and if not there are buses throughout the city! While it may not be the most common touristic town in Ireland, there are plenty of things to do and places to visit both within the city or close by.
What is the student lifestyle like in Cork?
Great! All of the colleges have a huge number of facilities, clubs and societies for students to engage with, accommodation is easily accessible and there is a brilliant social atmosphere around the city.
How much does it cost to live in Cork?
Cork is not a huge city, so everyday life is not so expensive. However, it is still a city, so accommodation could be a bit pricey.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cork? Is there any advice you can give?
Accommodation is not difficult to find, especially for students, but it definitely does depend on budget and location.

You can find anything and everything in Cork!

Yes! The Washington Inn, The Old Oak, Dali, Chambers.
What advice would you give future students heading to Cork?
Give everything a go - we Irish are enthusiastic about everything, and who knows what you’ll discover if you just take the opportunities you get!
