'Street' definition before coming to Copenhagen:

a street is an element that allows the connection of two or more locations.

'Street' defintion after experiencing Copenhagen:

A street is an accessible breathing area that is a destination in itself and no more a transition mode.

Playing in every street I think is the reason for having Copenhagen as the second happiest city in the world. It is about 'hygge' in the street. You do not need to plan a way to have fun; you can simply go in the street. Sports, parks, street markets, outside lounge areas, and concerts all simply happen in the street.

Going back to the defintion of the word street, Copenhagen redefined this element that stood on planet Earth from the beginning of history. A street has developed from being a walkable path to a system that requires design. During my weekends, i do not only pick a destination to reach, but the type of street i would like to discover. Streets in Copenhagen teach you to play, to relax, to breathe, to discover, to admire, to listen... Streets captivate all of the senses whether it rolls next to the water, inside the park, or in the city. A street is a destination in itself... google maps should upgrade their system to choosing a type of travel of street experience and not solely a transportation method/ traffic....
