What is it like to live in Copenhagen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Copenhagen can be very expensive, so if you decide to visit it is recommended that you have sufficient funds before hand, as finding a job also proves very difficult, unless you can speak Danish. The city is very small so it is easy to travel around and very quick. Copenhagen offers many events including culture events and other festivals relating to music and food.

Coming from London, I consider transport around Copenhagen to be very cheap. In addition to this, their underground system (metro) runs 24 hours 7 days which is also very convenient. Copenhagen has a culture for biking and the road system here is very well established for bikers.

During fall, it can get very cold and dark quickly so it is preferable to visit during the spring. The party life is fun but not glamorous like in other European countries. The Danes have a culture based on 'hygge' which refers to the cosiness. You will feel that in many bars, cafes and restaurant with the low ambiance and candle lights. The Danes eat very well, and most supermarkets stock mainly organic food. So the quality of what you eat will be high and it is not common to eat 'ready-cooked' meals. In addition to the food culture, Denmark has the most number of Michelin star restaurants and the world's best restaurant Noma. So if you are a foodie at heart it is definitely a city worth visiting.
