Experience in Copenhagen, Denmark by Suzana
What is it like to live in Copenhagen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is a very interesting place to live. I would recommend attending live concerts as the musicians here are quite good.
What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?
Student life is crazy and fun. School is not that difficult due its practic approach to learning.
How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?
Its extremely expensive here. Even if you ask for ketchup on the side - you pay. But, if you work certain hours a week, the government will help you with some funding too.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Copenhagen? Is there any advice you can give?
It is one of the most difficult places to find accommodation.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The cheapest places are shawarma places and its quite good. I go to a place I love called sliders - that costs about $25 CAD for 3 sliders and fries - no drink. Its crazy expensive so you should be ready for a job.
What places would you recommend visiting in Copenhagen?
Go to the Art museum of course, ZOO.
Is it good to eat out in Copenhagen? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Its expensive, so if you are going to go somewhere find out the best spots. Sliders in one of my favourites.
Is the nightlife good in Copenhagen? Where is good to go?
Studenhuset is good spot. Free live concerts every Thursday.
What advice would you give future students heading to Copenhagen?
Look for a place to live 6 months in advance. Buy 3 days pass for all transport to get yourself settled. If you pay for transportation per trip - it gets pricey.
