Experience in Copenhagen, Denmark by Anna
Copenhagen is the beautiful capitol of Denmark. It is a big city, but also not too big and overwhelming - it is a small big city. It is very easy to get around, and there is public transportation almost everywhere with either bus, train or metro. There is always the possibility to rent a bike. The local danish people take the bikes everywhere, and there is great possbilities to take the bike anywhere because of the infrastructure. The downsides are definitely the expensive prices and the weather. It can be quite rainy, but maybe you are lucky, and the weather can also be nice. I hope you get a great experience in Copenhagen :)
How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?
It is quite expensive, so bear that in mind. But maybe it is possible to get some economic help, but I am not sure.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Copenhagen? Is there any advice you can give?
It can be difficult to find something for a good price with a good location. If you want a nice apartment in the center, you will have to pay quite a lot normally.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The traditional danish food is nothing special, but there are many good and delicious restaurants. I fx love to get brunch at Cafe Livingstone by the lakes in Copenhagen.
What places would you recommend visiting in Copenhagen?
I would recommend you to see the city center, the beautiful museum Glyptoteket with classical art, and the museum of modern art Louisiana, which is located around outside of Copenhagen. The amusement park Tivoli is also very beautiful!
