Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

Hi, firstly i say that I'am Italian. Then I choose Copenhagen because I had good feedback by the people of my former university that made the Erasmus there. Furthermore every university were ranked very high.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship could lasted from 3 months to 9 months, and I did 6. We received only 270 euro at month for the apartment and 500 euro total for the departure and the comeback (by airplane).

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?

To be honest It really depends by your motivation in doing the Erasmus. You can choose whatever you want, if to study hard or less than hard. And I think you can also dedicate one hour at day during the week and be sure to pass the exams, that in my opinion were easier then the Italian ones, due to the fact that you could use the text books to solve the requests of the written exam. Of course It depends also by your faculty, I had crop science.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

Yes, totally.

What is the food like?

That's a negative point. Compared to Italy the quality in general was bad and also very expensive. For example you couldn't find a good quality tomato sauce if not in small, very expensive, market.

Always if you go eating outside like in a restaurant you can be satisfied, For example Hard Rock Café is good and also some restaurant on Stroget Street.

But in general this is not the best country to eat.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

No. The university gave me already all the information and accommodation choices.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

A lot. Depends by you lifestyle but the accommodation and the first necessity good are very expensive. On the other hand I found relatively cheap the entertainment structures like discotheque, gyms, and so on.

Also the metro is cheap.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

English. Yes they are available. I did for example Academic English with an English teacher.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

Airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhagen?

Yes. It is very safe and fun.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are a lot. For example the story museum. The nearby city of Malmo, the first city of the Sweeden. A lot of typical small old village around Copenhagen where you could visit the Danish environment of 2 centuries ago. The little marmoid. The Christiania quarter. And a lot of other places.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhagen in the future?

To feel lucky because Its a great experience where not only you learn University lesson but also life lessons, how to live in a new different culture and learn to trust yourself in every decision that you will make.

The only true material "advice" I can give is to pay not much for the bike (if you buy one) because its the cheapest thing on Denmark and if the price is high someone is robbing you. Bye.
