it was for 5 month, 270 €

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhague?

it might depend a lot on your studies, but in my case the surroundings of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts was an eye opener in many aspects.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhague to other students?

yes, 100 %

What is the food like?

The food culture is kind of split, eating out is mainly burgers and pizza, because this is what my student budget did allow myself. On the other side even discounters offer are broad range of ecological and local food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhague?

no, i was lucky and could move in with a friend

How much does it cost to live in Copenhague?

between 3000 and 4000 dk for the rent and then maybe around 600 € to maintain a living including a buffer for school projects and fun.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

language courses are available, as a german it is quite easy to into it, but the everyday life takes place in english

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhague from your city?

from hamburg it was by train back then, now the cheapest option is by flixbus!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhague?

Choose one of the bars in norrebro, experience christiania in the summer and visit some of the art and design launches, which always provide drinks for free.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Copenhague?

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

lousiana - a museum outside of cph

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhague in the future?

have a bit of financial backup, register as early as possible, because at the beginning of the semester they are quite busy and this delays the process. Be aware that you need this CPR number for language courses, opening a bank account, making a phone contract etc. basically everything administrative
