Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

Cause I am student of design and in Denmark is really long tradition in field I am studying..especially furniture design..School I picked has got nice wood, metal and fashion workshops

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was for five months..My university gave me before my departure scholarship 550 euro for every month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?

Like work hard, no fun, no smile :D

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

University I am studying (The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts) is really special with modern approach, unusual study structure-Modular based system...I would recommend Copenhagen as a city of culture, high social level of living with really ecological living habits which you can see everywhere.

What is the food like?

like a ecological and really healthy style with a lot of vegetable.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

To find accommodation in Copenhagen is fucking hard and damn expensive.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

The prices in Copenhagen are approximately 3,5 x more expensive then in Czech Republic..rent approx. 3000-4500 DKK, beer in pub 30-50 DKK, meal in restaurant 80-150 DKK, coffe 25 DKK etc.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Danish is really sound based language. Really hard for foreigners to understand and speak..-sometimes hard to understand for locals as well..but almost everyone in Denmark speak in english..

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

eurolines buses. 13 hours, 2200 Kč return ticket...

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhagen?

SMK Fridays- night where the museum of fine arts is open for free for public, live music is playing there as well, possibility to buy drinks, meet local people..

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Copenhagen?

the best way is to buy ingredients in supermarkets and cook it yourself.

be ready that you will bike in every weather condition everywhere and take waterproof clothes with you..
