Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

Because I knew all courses were in english

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was in Kopenhagen from september till december and I receaved about 400 EUR a month, I couldn’t live in Copenhagen with 400 euro, it was very expensive . Mij rent was already double than my Erasmus scholarship. And it was one of the cheapest rooms I found

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?

Students are very relaxed, they don t freak out when having exams. Teaching is very different and more interactive which was very nice comparing to louvain!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

I surely would but you have to know before that everything costs a lot in Copenhagen . Basic food like bread costs 6 euro while in belgium just 2 euro , meat is just not affordable neither do alcoholic drinks.

What is the food like?

The food is nice when you pay a lot

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

It is very difficult to find affordable accomodation , there is a shortage of rooms and everybody has to book months before what makes it even more expensive

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

A lot.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are language courses but you can t learn the language in a few months

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

Bij plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhagen?

Don t know I don t like to go out. I like to visit things and I like to go to the gym

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Copenhagen?

I couldn’t afford eating in a restaurant

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I visited a lot, it s a beautiful city , nice people, clean, good mentality. Very different from Brussels !

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhagen in the future?

Count your money and decide whether you can spend a lot more than in belgium before leaving.
