Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

Because the expertise of the University in my area of study

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It lasts for one year. Regarding the live costs...I live with 12000 DKK, it means around 1700 Euros or US dollar. This amount is more than enough to live here.

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?

Usually the students enjoy to parties, but on a daily basis, is much more a routine. During the winter is cold and dark, during the summer is very sunny and happy.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

Yes, but you should be sure you will have money enough to stay here. Rent and public transportation are expensive. But you can always bike around to save money and improve your health.
PS: I`m not a KU student, I`m studding at DTU.

What is the food like?

Nice, prepare yourself to eat potatoes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

Yes, a lot. Almost a nightmare. Specially if you decided come with family, or even only with wife/husband.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

Curency: Danish kroner (DKK)
Rent:4500-6000 sheering flats (try your best);
Food: 1500;
transportation depends on the number of zones that you must to travel trought. 5 zones: 850

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, Danish courses are for free here in DK. But every one speaks English. Even at universities are courses in English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

Train, or S-train as they use to call it here.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhagen?

So many places...CPH is a very good place to party, but...expensive!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Copenhagen?

Arabic food is "cheap", Fast food as well. Danish restaurants I`ve never been.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

CPH is a very cultural city. You should visit the classic points.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhagen in the future?

Yes, try to come with more people to rent a whole flat and then share it. Also, pay attention with scammers... No deposit without see the place and talk with the landlord in person. Most common situation...give the money and I will send the keys by FedEx...it is a lie!
