Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

Because I wanted to try how it is to live in a Scandinavian country.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was a scholarship for just four months, and I got 800 euro in total.

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?

It is really cool and enthusiastic. All around the city you can find different parties for students, which are always very fun.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

Depending on their needs and likes, yes.

What is the food like?

It is a lot of meat and vegetables, mostly. Pork all the time. And they eat sweets all day! (that is very much in the culture). So, yeah, I like it, and especially because they really pay attention to all the ingredients food has got, so mostly you will find 'clean' food in the city restaurants and so on.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

Very, very much. So my advice is that you do it through networking, because otherwise it is just impossible.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

It is very expensive. I make it with 800 euro a month, but not less than that...

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The uni has got languages courses, but it is not easy at all. Especially to latin students, I would say.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

Plain.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhagen?

The whole city center is full of places to party in! Danish people really like to dance! :) Also Vesterbro has some places as well.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Copenhagen?

Dalle Valle. They have a very good buffet, and foreigners who come here to visit should know that buffets are the cheapest way to eat outside in Copenhagen.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Little Mermaid is mandatory!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhagen in the future?

Come with an open mind and you'll get one of the best experiences of your life! But if you come closed minded, you probably won't get any friends and people will easily forget about you ;)
