Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

To study my master degree in Agricultural Developement at the University of Copenhagen

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I do not have a scholarship, i just joined the site for info on CPH, as many ;)

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhagen?

As in many cities, stundet lifestyle is full of get togethers and fun time with other students. We may cook here more often together since going out for dinner is pretty expensive. Master degree at CPH University is pretty intense so everyday life is very quick but you manage to have fun :)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

Yes, but be prepared to have a student job and arrive with a budget!

What is the food like?

Ok. Due to the price you mainly buy it yourself!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

Yes, it is very time consuming and hard. One of the worst housing markets in Europe. Remeber to be very careful with samers!! Out of 5 offers 3 are scam! Never sent money to anyone before knwoing for sure its a real thing!! And plan some time for finding housing.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

I pay 4100 DKK rent and its a pretty good deal. That makes more or less 550 Euros a month. You can live for less but you will find many housings for more. I might be in the middle.
Alcohol is pretty expensive. Food is relatively expensive also, especially if you dont cook for yourself. In total with around 800 - 900 Euros you can be ok, but you have to count your cents.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language courses are for free here in Denmark, as long as you have the official insription (CPR number).
The language is pretty hard to grip :) but everyone speaks perfect english (often better than us foreigners) and is happy to explain you everything you dont understand.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

Flying: ryanair, norwegian and SAS can have cheap prices if you look ontime. 8SAS hav youth prices if your are younger than 26)
People in the North of Germany migth consider a Bus ride, you can come from Berlin for 20Euros.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhagen?

Friday bar is a good start, cheap beer and a lot of students. After some time you will need to explore more bars. Norrebro is a nice place to look for them.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Copenhagen?

Cook for yourself!!
But RizRaz is a nice place for veggie eaters, not to expensive Buffet of around 10 Euros.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Look into wikipedia. i like the Black Diamond Library, Nyhavn and Tivilo the most.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhagen in the future?

Get a bike!
