Why did you choose to go to Copenhague, Dinamarca?

I always wanted to go there on holiday but it never happened, so now I went there on exchange. I like the Danish language.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I receive the Erasmus scholarship of 270 euros a month, for 5 months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Copenhague?

It is great, there are students all over the city. Even though it is a big city (compared to what I am used to), everybody seems to know each other.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhague to other students?

Yes I would! The atmosphere is amazing and KU seems to be organized pretty well. In the courses I've had the teacher-student relationship was very informal and classes were interactive.

What is the food like?

Danish pastry is very good! Otherwise, you can get almost everything.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhague?

I found accommodation through the housing foundation of KU. Although I now pay probably more than I would if I had found something on my own, I now had less struggle in finding a place. Although their booking system is far from optimal.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhague?

It's quite expensive, but I don't have an average per month or something. If you cook at home and don't go out to restaurants, you already safe a lot of money. Restaurants are really expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I think the language itself is not so hard, but the pronunciation is. There is pre-semester Danish course and also a course during the semester. You can also take courses at other language schools throughout the city, that's also for free. As a new citizen of Denmark you have the right to a certain amount of years of free Danish lessons.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhague from your city?

Definitely by bike!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Copenhague?

They see the Meatpacking district (Kodbyen) is really cool, but I haven't been there yet. Studenterhuset is really nice, always a lot of international students, and Café Retro and Huset are also good.
