Why did you choose to go to Copenhagen, Denmark?

I am doing my internship in Copenhagen.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I will stay in Copenhagen for 5,5 months. With the money of the Erasmus scholarshop I am able to cover my living costs (except rent).

Would you recommend the city and the University of Copenhagen to other students?

The city is very beautiful and I like to live here.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Copenhagen?

Yes. It is very difficult to find an accommodation, especially if you want a CPR-Number. You will need good luck and strong nerves and you should start looking early as possible.

How much does it cost to live in Copenhagen?

To live in Copenhagen costs me at least 2500 DDK (without rent). The rent depends on where and how you live in Copenhagen.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

If you have a CPR-Number you are able to get free language courses in Danish at a language school of your choice. In the libaries you will find enough media to improve your Danish. And if your Danish is not good enough yet you can also communicate in Englisch.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Copenhagen from your city?

I would recommend you to bring your bike or buy one. Everyone goes by bike in all weather. This is the cheapest, fastest and typical way to go around in Copenhagen.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I recommend mostly the museums in Copenhagen, especially the art museums like Statens Museum for Kunst. Some of them you can visit for free.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Copenhagen in the future?

Bring your bike and if you are staying in autumn or winter you will need a waterproof and draftproof warm jacket and trousers for going by bike. If you cook the meals yourself  you can save lots of money.
