Personally, I really like big cities, and Castellón is not one of them, but it's the perfect city for people who want to be somewhere peaceful and easily accessible, as you can walk around the entire city in less than an hour.

What is student life like in Castellón de la Plana?

It's very good, as the Universidad Jaime I is like a small city within Castellón - I recommend it.

How much does it cost to live in Castellón de la Plana?

In a shared student flat, the rent usually costs 120€ a month with bills included! It's very cheap to live in Castellón if you compare it with other cities close-by.

Was it difficult for you to find accommodation in Castellón de la Plana? Can you give any advice about this?

No because there are lots of facilities available at the university to help you with this, as well as there being some noticeboards where loads of advertisements for flats are posted.

What is the food like in Spain?

The food is perfect because it consists of the typical Mediterranean staples. There's a wide variety of food available, and it's all of good quality. My favourite dishes are pasta and paella.

Which places do you recommend visiting in Castellón de la Plana?

I love the area around the port of Castellón - in other words, the Plaza del Mar (where the cinema is) - and the city centre. Although there are only a few old buildings now, those that remain are beautiful.

In terms of eating out, I would also recommend the port area, as they make some delicious paellas there. For people who like seafood, this is the perfect place to go.

For nightlife in Castellón, I recommend going to User during the university nights on Thursdays, and to Mystic or Up&Down on Saturdays.

Is there any advice that you want to give to future students in Castellón de la Plana?

Get excited about coming here because Castellón is a city where everyone knows each other, and you can end up meeting loads of people. Besides, the Universidad Jaime I is a very good university.
