What is it like to live in Castellón De la Plana? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Castellón is a small city so if you are expecting partying 6 days a week is not going to happen, but still pretty good for erasmus because you have wednesdays that are special for you and then thursdays for university students (and then of course friday and saturday). So it's pretty good at the end.

The city is not the most beautiful you can find, but you are not there to visit museums. Is not very big but still you have a good public transport sistem and compared with other countries in Europe is cheap. Around 7 euros 10 trips.

What is the student lifestyle like in Castellón De la Plana?

Studying there is not very easy (at least if you study engineering), but for erasmus is quite easy and you will not have many troubles to pass subjects.

There is an AEGEE office in the unversity and they are planning lots of stuff and activities for students so you will not be bored.

How much does it cost to live in Castellón De la Plana?

Castellón is a cheap city. Probably you can find accomodation for less than 200euros/month. Public transport is around 7 euros/10trips and for food and drinks is almost as in any other part of Europe.

I think is not so difficult to find accomodation in Castellón. There are always advertsings around the campus of people offering flats for students and you can also check the internet.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

About food you will find typical spanish food like paella or fideua, but also food that you can find everywhere likes pizzas, burguers or kebabs.

What places would you recommend visiting in Castellón De la Plana?

Not in the city, but if you are in Castellón you should visit Valencia, Peñiscola, Villafamés and Morella that are the most turistical places near Castellón

Is it good to eat out in Castellón De la Plana? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

The city is full of bars and restaurants and you can eat whatever you like. If you feel like trying spanish food you can find it or if you prefer just something you know you like like a kebab there are many places to find them

Is the nightlife good in Castellón De la Plana? Where is good to go?

There are some clubs that open on the weekends and are in the city center. Mystic, Up and Down, Wallaby´s... those are the most famous and close to each other.

What advice would you give future students headed to Castellón De la Plana?

You should get you duty ready by thursday so you can enjoy the weekend, because moday-wednesday maybe there is not so much night-life in the city.
