Why did you choose to go to Castellón De la Plana, Spain?

Because of the university.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For 1.5 years, and I receive 1k euro per month, more than enough

What is the student lifestyle like in Castellón De la Plana?

Studying and meeting between each other. To have some party, you have to go to Valencia or Barcelona.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Castellón De la Plana to other students?

Yes, sure.

What is the food like?

Cheap and great quality food in the supermarkets.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Castellón De la Plana?

Yes, I had to pay a real estate agency fee but I'm more than happy with my flat.

How much does it cost to live in Castellón De la Plana?

Around 500 euro per month for rental and food.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

There are great language courses in the university. Among locals, almost nobody speaks english so you have to study spanish to make communication possible.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Castellón De la Plana from your city?

By plane to Barcelona, then train or bus to Castellon. It's better to book the train on renfe.es because it's much cheaper than getting the ticket on the train station before departure, the difference can be up to 20 euro.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Castellón De la Plana?

No idea. There are some clubs but I'm not into this, I prefer concerts which don't happen here, so I go to Barcelona or Madrid or whatever. Anyway, there's one nice karaoke pub in Castellon.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

It's a small town so all the cultural sights can be visited while walking by feet.

Also, you could visit Peñíscola, Sagunto, the Natural Park Sierra Calderona...

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Castellón De la Plana?

There is no heating in the apartments so you'll have to have warm clothes in if you're going to spend winter there.
