What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Its warm and hustling with life, there are a lot of attractions here ( Pyramids of Giza, Mosques etc.) which are a must, however I recommend that as soon as you finish them you head out for the more slower paced cities on the Red-Sea and Eiver nile ( Sharm el Sheikh, Luxor, Aswan)

What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?

Studying, sports, cool nightlife with new friends on Thursday night and weekend adventures

How much does it cost to live in Cairo?

Not much really, if you think about the exchange rate ( 1$ = 16 LE) its quite cheap for alot of good quality and goodness

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?

There aren't alot of student halls or student apartments. I would recommend Zamalek area, however its a bit far from most universities. If it's just for leisure I would recommend hotels. Try airbnb and olx.com

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Akhhh the food is amazing I would definitely get in touch with a local to try these safe street food trucks... anyways the magic green soup ( mulukheya) and alot more try El Prince restaurant for a local experience you wont forget

What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?

Pyramids, khan el khalili, citadel, the cairo tower, flouka( traditional boat ride in the nile)

Is it good to eat out in Cairo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Its great although its trial and error not all street food is safe so I would recommend a local to point out all the amazing and safe places

Is the nightlife good in Cairo? Where is good to go?

Night life is lit in cairo there are alot of options from party to chilling to bars with a nile view the tap east, le pacha 1901, the lemon tree, Cairo Jazz club, stash.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cairo?

Traffic is a bummer so a place near your university would be be a time saver. Stationaries are cheap and you can always have an adventure on the weekend after all the Red Sea is only 1:30 hours from Cairo
