What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
No city could be as adventurous as living in cairo, a mixture of all your favourite things starting from the great historical Egyptology places that will blow off your mind to the crazy and fun nightlife, in every side of this city you will find something new about yourself, arts, culture and many other events going through the whole year, cairo is a city that could only be understood by deep people who loves to explore, cairo never sleeps, and the adventures never ends.
What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?
In cairo you can find a lot of international/governmental universities that gives unlimited majors, you can find many educational centers outside the university that provides classes to help you out with the university, you can meet up with local students from your university and make a student group together.
How much does it cost to live in Cairo?
Living in cairo would cost maximum around 2,000 Euro per year for students including the food, transportation, accommodation (with roommates)
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not difficult to find accommodation in cairo there's a lot of foreigners who works/study in cairo and share there apartments, but it's not really preferred to stay with locals, so my advice for international students who are looking for roommates to choose foreigners over locals or it can be a local " student ", there's a lot of websites that helps you find accoumndetion in cairo on google.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Best thing about Cairo is the Egyptian food, you will never want to eat anything else, the main dish in cairo is koushry whichs a vegan dish, In Cairo you can find organic/vegan supermarkets easily, and you will find vegetable marktes/cars everywhere, my favourite Egyptian dishes are " koushry- spanich with rise- molkhya "
What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?
Of course you have to visit the great Pyramids,
- 2 The Egyptian Museum. Mummified Monkey at the Egyptian Museum Lana Law.
-3 Al-Azhar Mosque.
- 4 Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo)
-5 Khan el-Khalili (Souq Quarter)
- 6 The Citadel.
- 7 Sultan Hassan
Is it good to eat out in Cairo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Cairo is full of excellent international and local restaurants and here's a list of the best restaurants in cairo

The nightlife in cairo is crazy and fun, by 12 o'clock Cairo becomes another city

What advice would you give future students heading to Cairo?
Dear future students,
You will not only learn about your specialisation in college, you will also learn about yourself, a great culture, responsibility in a big city, try to take it as a big chance to find yourself and communicate with such a different culture, take care of yourself very well and never trust anyone even foreigners, Egyptians holds a great heart full of kindness, you will feel loved and lucky to be surrounded by them. :)
