What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is the capital, where all services are available. All types of transportation. You will find everything here. Expensive ones and cheap ones.

The only disadvantage: the city is crowded but on the other side people are very kind and helpful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?

You go to the college to study. I don't know if you could find a place in dorms or not. You will have time to study and to go out and have fun. And also you will have time for entertainment. There are many holidays during the semester.

How much does it cost to live in Cairo?

1000-1500 L. E.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it is not difficult, but there are expensive places like Zamalek, Mohandeseen, and there are cheap places like Haram and Fesal. New cities like El Sheikh Zayed and 6 of October city is good and quiet areas and not expensive.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

All types of food are found in Egypt specially Cairo and Giza. Egyptian, Labanese, Syrian, Italian, etc. I prefer traditional dishes like kushari.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?

Pyramids, Egyptian museums, Salah El-Din castle. . There are many places in Cairo and Giza and to dive and to do snorkeling! It's amazing especially in Sharm and el Gharda.

Is it good to eat out in Cairo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes. I love to eat out in GAD, ELTABAY, ABOUSHAQRA, restaurants on Nile like Blue Blue in El Manial. And we have Kentucky, McDonald's, Pizza Hut for fast food.

Is the nightlife good in Cairo? Where is good to go?

Yes. People are awake all the time. Many cafes and restaurants are available at nights.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cairo?

The weather is hot till November then it starts to get cold. Ask anybody for advice as people are very helpful.
